After divorcing my first wife in 1994, I hitchhiked from California to Florida.
I decided to start my life all over again. I was homeless and out of money and needed a job.
Because I am a veteran, I was able to land a security job that supported me for awhile but the pay was terrible and had a hard time supporting myself.
I decided that I needed to do something better with my life so I went to a trade school at night and got a diploma in Air conditioning and went to work for the Post and Times Newspaper company.
I kept my security job and worked nights Got a nice apartment right on the intercoastal waterways and loved it there.
One night working in Coral Gables a lady came to my office window and had a big box in her hand and wanted to show me the contents and asked me if she could come in.
I knew that it was against company policy to have anyone in my office but because my supervisor had already come and gone and there was no one around, I decided to let her in quickly. I inspected the contents before letting her through the doors and she quickly told me that it was a webtv. Of Course at the time she told me that, I had know Idea what that was so I let her in.
She rumbled through the box and started pulling out parts. By the way she was very attractive 🙂 Anyway she started her sales pitch on me and I was getting more excited by the minute in more ways the one.
I never owned a computer and had know desire to own one but this thing was a no brainer it hooks right up to your tv and you use your tv screen as a monitor.
She said that I could take it home and try it over the weekend and she would come back to my office on Monday night so I sad ok.
So I took it home and started playing around with it all night long and I was so amused with it that when she came back, I paid for it.
That was my first experience with anything close to a computer and it gave me the experience I needed to graduate to a computer .
I sold the webtv and bought my first computer which is one of the smartest thing I have ever done.
In 1997 I started making money on line and still am to this day.
I met my second wife on line and moved to Canada to merry her. We married in 2000 but she passed away in 2011 from a massive heart attack.
Now I live by myself and am enjoying every minute of it. I have a girlfriend but we don’t live together and we both agree that it is better this way and I can positively say that it is.
Well that is a little spot in my life I felt like sharing with you. I know we all have little spots in our lives but its those little spots in our lives that makes life worth living 🙂
